Like in the other villages of the area, also in Kapesovo, that is located on a slope of mount Tymfi near Vikos gorge, the stone houses blend into the scenery offering us an incredible view. You will leave your car in the upper part of the village and make a stroll in the alleys of this amphitheatrically built village. One of the buildings that stands out is the Paschalios School that dates back to 1861 and currently operates as a museum, where not only a library with rare books is housed but also one of the three copies of Rigas Fereo’s map. Between the stone houses you will also see the church of Agios Nikolaos (1793) that has lots of interesting wall paintings handcrafted by important hagiographers from Kapesovo.
You will end your walk under the shade of the beautiful square. From Kapesovo starts also the path that leads to Vradeto and includes the famous Vradeto Stair.
