The mountain range of Agrafa with its high mountains has beautiful passages and trails through ancient paths. The rivers Tavropos and Agrafiotis begin from the foothills of the mountains. The range has seven peaks with an altitude bigger than 2000 meters (Liakoura, Fteri, and Voutsikaki). Karava is the highest with an altitude of 2185 meters. There are lots of different trails with a difficult access during the winter. Several visitors reach the mountains for the small ski center that has only one piste near the village of Neraida. Although the ski center is rather small, the mountain is ideal for off piste ski. Agrafa are 330 kilometers away from Athens and 240 kilometers from Thessaloniki.
