The Megali Leschi (Grand Community Club) was built in 1909 and it is a grandiose building of honey-red tones that make it look royal and majestic. The Austrian Baroque architecture that was adopted for the building gives this impression. Baroque, even if it is pompous and pretentious according to some people, in this case it succeeds in finding the right limits by including many neoclassical elements that are obvious on the building. Nowadays it hosts various events and exhibitions. Megali Leschi houses the House of Social Care and the Kavala Chess Club and on top of it the Parthenagogio (school for girls only).
