The library of Zagora is situated in the central square of the village. The library was founded in1762 by the benefactors Ioannis Prigos, who sent the first 800 volumes, and the Patriarch Kallinicus III who was from Zagora. Gradually many books were donated until the collection amounted to five thousand manuscripts and old scripts. It is worth mentioning that important scholars and researchers at the library were Rigas Feraios and the teacher Anthimos Gazis.
