Park of Agios Konstantinos is the oldest park of the city, designed by the architect N. Kitsikis. The most important aspect is that it is a place of entertainment and leisure for young and old. It is decorated with well looked after flower beds, playgrounds and cafes. It is important to mention that the first tree planting of the square, took place in 1925. In the 80s, the Municipality of Volos took the initiative to develop the seaside area behind the Agios Konstantinos church, making footpaths for pleasant walks and leisure areas. Then Anavros Park was formed, within which you will find modern art sculptures done by foreign and Greek artists.
