The Athanasakion Archaeological Museum of Volos houses dozens of findings from the Neolithic settlements of Sesklo and Dimini, clay statuettes and utensils from the Geometric period, sculptures from the classical period as well as rare joined statuettes, and reliefs from the Hellenistic period. Some of the most important exhibits are the rare steles with relief work of the 3rd century BC, which preserve elements of painting of the ancient Greeks on marble works of art. From time to time the Museum also houses other exhibitions. Visiting hours: Daily 8:30-15:30 except Monday. Ticket price: € 2.
