The Giorgio De Chirico Art Center was named after the great Italian painter, who was born in Volos. The permanent exhibition of the Alexandros Damtsas collection is spread within the three floors of the building, consisting of almost five hundred paintings from all the significant schools of our century. There are engravings, maps, documents about the area, works by artists from Volos, Magnesia and Thessaly and works by Greek engravers. The biggest part of the donation consists of paintings by Greek painters of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. In other rooms of the Art Centre there are hosted regularly exhibits of a versatile artistic interest. Visiting hours: Daily 10:00-13:00 except Saturday and Sunday.
