The Pelion Museum of Folklore and History is housed in the Topalis mansion. It was built in 1844 and is located in the centre of Makrinitsa, near the square. The three storey mansion is a representative example of the architecture of Pelion. It started operating as a museum in 1994 and exhibits a rich folklore collection. Visiting hours: Daily 10:00-17:00 except Monday, August 1-31: 10:00-14:00 & 18:00-21:00.
