A male monastery, of a fortified type, because of pirate attacks, that aimed to acquire the wealth accumulated by the monastery. It was built in 1572, with a domed triconch temple dedicated to Archangels Michael and Gabriel, the protectors of Serifos. Its architecture attracts interest, since it has embrasures and a single entrance to a height of 4 meters, which was approached with a mobile ladder, aiming to fully secure the Monastery fortress. The interior of the temple was decorated with murals, some of which are still saved, a woodcut screen, while the embossed two-headed eagle on the ground dates from 1659.
