The main settlement of the island is homonymous Skiathos. It is a seaside settlement with red tiles and small alleys. There you can find anything you may need, small taverns, services, cafés, small bars, and also the small boats setting off every day for the island beaches, the neighboring small island of Tsougria, Skopelos and Alonnisos. The old harbor with its fishing boats, taverns and small bars, which are famous for their cocktails, attracts interest. The natural boundary of the old and the new harbors, Bourtzi, is a cluster of trees, under the shade of which you can enjoy the view to Skiathos, the color of the bay waters, and, if you are lucky, attend one of the cultural nights, under the light of the stars. Passing the new harbor, there are excellent restaurants, while, at the same time, we find ourselves in the center of the island’s nightlife, with most of the clubs located by the sea, overlooking the lights of Skiathos.
