In Kabos Square in Gialos the nautical history of the island is exhibited. You will see ship miniatures, maps, photographs, compasses, old diving suits and equipment of the traditional art of sponge fishing.
It is located in Chorio, in the 19th century mansion of Farmakidis family. Its exhibits are of the Hellenistic period, Byzantine and late Byzantine idols, inscriptions, pottery, textiles, music instruments, manuscripts, items of everyday use and many more.
A unique museum that exhibits vestments, small idols, a collection of bottles that were found in the sea with prayers and offerings from the sailors, ship hulls and a rich book collection.
