Kini, this small seaside village with the unusual name, is located between the beaches of Delfini and Lotos, just 9km from the capital. It has all the specs for recreation, with comfortable accommodations and small taverns. At about 100 meters from the beach is located the unique Museum in the Cyclades of fishing vessels, fishing tools, aquatic organisms and shells. You should definitely visit Kini during August, when many events, exhibitions and major festivals take place for the feast of the Dormition, since it is the feast day of the chapel located on Kini Hill, the church of the Dormition of the Theotokos. Watch the local custom "fotarides" where all the families light fires in tin cans, decorate the saddles in their homes and confer upon the children the embellishment of the beaches and benches.
