This was also designed by the Italian architect P. Sampo, built in 1863 and located on Miaoulis Square. There you will see and reproductions of the Cycladic Art Museum. The "HELLAS" Club was housed in this neoclassical building. It is worth wandering around the old ballroom where masks, murals and ceiling paintings with depictions of the god of love, Cupid, have been preserved. If you are lucky, you might attend and some of the hundreds of the events that are hosted here every year. The Municipal Library is also housed in this building and hosts about 45.000 books, many of which are part of rare and collectible collections. The most valuable and oldest book is that of Apollonius of Rhodes dated from 1521 and called "Argonautics".In the garden, you will see the busts of great writers and poets from Syros, such as Georgios Souris and Emmanuel Roidis.
