This is the story of NOSTOS or the emigrant returning home after a long absence. As Odysseus dreamed the journey back to Ithaca, so Panagiotis Psaros dreamed of a return in the food sector, the “nostimon imar”1 (i.e. the day of the return, as per Homer in “Odyssey”).
After a long absence, the long tradition of the family in the food sector returned in 2015 to a new place in Kionia, just 3 km from Chora. With love and passion, they have created a restaurant on the sea front, aiming to continue the tradition of the previous generations.
With respect on old classic recipes and with the addition of new ideas, the cook (Nikos) prepares daily flavors reminiscent of... mother!
Traditional dishes, "raise the level" thanks to the pure and fresh raw materials of Tinos. Sundried tomatoes, Tinos cheese, capers, sea fennel, sisyra etc. are only some of the local ingredients of the dishes.
Nostos, a station of delight for those looking for good, homemade food, is also available for social events.
