In 1994 Stavros Karabajakis founded the Folklore Museum of Xanthi and the first exhibits belonged to his personal collection. For the past 11 years the museum is housed in the old building of the Inspectorate of Tobacco. The collections have various objects from daily life which over time changed form, were replaced or disused. An interesting part of the collection is the one about the change in the means of lighting throughout the years. Opening hours: Visits can be arranged after request from the people responsible for the exhibition.
