The image of the Fortress commanding the Gorge of Kambia is breathtaking.  The natural fortification of the rocks contributed in the conservation of the medieval embattled building. At the top of the hill lies the small chapel of Agia Paraskevi. Therefore, the Fortress is also known as the Castle of Agia Paraskevi.
