15 August: Feast in honor of Virgin Mary in the church of the Virgin Mary on the hill above Stavros. Enjoy traditional food and dance to the sounds of local instruments.
14 September: Feast in honor of the protector of the island, at the Church of the Holy Cross. A very famous festival with pilgrims from other islands travelling in order to participate. Mix with the locals, taste the traditional patatato (braised meat with potatoes) offered freely to everyone, and dance to the rhythm of the violin.
17 September: At the church of Agia Sophia in Mersini, the locals welcome you to honor her name in a festival that includes food and dancing under the huge plane trees next to the spring.
