Twelve kilometers from Karystos, Marmari is of course known for its marbles (called “marmara” in Greek) and rocks. Marmari is economically developed thanks to its natural wealth. It has vast and crystal clear beaches and many hotels and rooms to let for any taste. Like every traditional fishing village and also like every area in Evia, its small taverns offer fresh fish and local meat. If you like water sports you’ll be delighted! At its nearby beaches you’ll enjoy many sports and also beach parties, almost every summer night! It is suitable for all ages and easily accessible by boat via Rafina port. The touristic development of the island gets better every year, with lots of people spending their summer in Marmari.
