When young people hear about thermal baths, they think of seniors and the smell of brimstone. Thanks to the elderly, however, Aidipsos has become a rich place, ideal for all ages. During the ancient years it was a famous destination for both young and old people who used to go for a swim in the waters of the baths – the younger ones in order to strengthen their bodies and the older ones in order to combat various old age diseases. When the Roman general Sulla visited the area, he built thermae, in order to have comfortable baths anytime he visited it. Ruins of the thermae remain till today. For younger people there is also the option of extreme or other sports and summer clubs, for non-stop dance all night long. Families can enjoy the sea museum of the area and pass their time swimming or enjoy one-day excursions to the nearby villages. One thing’s for sure; Aidipsos, and its curative waters which are rich in natural minerals, is miraculous for older people. For them, it is a heaven on earth, as they can get rid of many conditions they are suffering from, such as arthritis and rheumatism. If you want to pass your summer in Aidipsos, you can find everything. It is a highly developed area with beautiful nature, beaches and hospitable people.
