Kourtroulopyrgos was built in the 13th century by the Venetians in the area of Tharounia. It is a castle at an altitude of 350 meters and has suffered many damages through the years, because of the wars and the sieges. It is easily accessible, but the few ruins that you will find are not representative of the castle that used to exist here.
