Karambamba Castle is located in Chalkida. It is one of the few castles not built by the Venetians, but by the Turks, during the 17th century. Their aim was to protect Chalkida from the Venetian invaders. The castle hosts many events and concerts from time to time. It is open to the public every day except for Monday and the entrance is free. It is one of the most spectacular fortresses and is definitely worth a visit!
