This 12th century castle is located in the area called Kleisoura, just before Prokopi. The castle is accessible on foot, through rough paths, the gorge of the area and river of Kireas. Some ruins of the castle and its surrounding have remained after great battles and destructions. It is regarded as one of the most magnificent and important castles of the Venetian era. It’s worth mentioning that this castle once passed into the hands of the ruthless knight Likarios. If you like hiking it’s worth a visit.
