The most special castle of Evia is located in Oreoi. It is byzantine, situated on an islet, just some meters away from the homonymous beach. On this islet were constructed a little church, a grave and this castle. The castle was built during the Ottoman occupation and the locals say many stories to explain how and why it was built on an islet. You can get to the islet swimming or by boat and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
