This historic 17th century monastery was destroyed many times by foreign invaders and is located in Kymi. The monks of the monastery fought many times forcefully for the freedom of their country and so the foreign invaders had many reasons to destroy the monastery each time. Historical documents and books of the 18th and the 19th century, as well as ecclesiastical relics of the 17th century, are kept in the monastery. One of the most significant relics is the gold-embroidered epitaph dating back to 1653. The feast day of the temple is on the 6th of August, with a big festival including traditional food, music and dance.
