The archaeological museum is located in the city centre, in a neoclassical building of the 20th century. Your journey through time will start from the Paleolithic Era. Findings from ancient cemeteries, ceramic figurines and utensils, an entire civilization will unfold in front of you. Most artifacts were found in the areas of Chalkida, Eretria, Karystos and Aidipsos, that were the main cultural centers of the ancient but also modern Greece. Some of the findings that will amaze you are the statue of a seated girl and the tombstone of the child with the dog. The journey stops in the Late Roman era.
