This museum will offer you a journey through tradition, religion and war. The museum has three floors. On the first floor there is a true representation of a traditional house with a bedroom, a living room and a hall for women, with their loom, wovens and knits. In the smaller halls you can have a look at photographic material and other creations, such as wovens and knits. Moving downstairs, you will see again photographic material, archives and the library. The vestments of Saint Nektarios and other church utensils are also quite interesting. Of course, traditional costumes of ordinary people but also warriors of the Balkan Wars couldn’t be absent from the collection. The most interesting part of the museum is the basement, with the traditional laundry room, the wine cellar, the candle making workshop and the farmers’ and breeders’ tools during the pre-war, war and post-war era. A theatre is located in the yard of the museum, where many events and performances are hosted.
Opening hours: Wednesday 10:00 - 13:00, Saturday - Sunday 10:00 - 13:00 and 16:00 - 18:30
