Fossils aged from 6.500.000 up to 9.000.000 years are hosted in this museum. 24 different species of animals, from felines to mammals, were found in the area of Kerasia in the last 50 years and their fossils are kept in this museum. The most remarkable ones are hyenas, three-fingered horses as well as helladotheria, which looked like small giraffes. Skeletons and animal bones, fossils and photographic material are housed in the rooms of the museum, accompanied with explanations about the species and the chronology. It is a worthvisiting museum that was created with great care and includes some remarkable and unique fossils.
