Dystos Lake is located in southwestern Evia, southeast of village Aliveri. The extent of the lake is 4.700 acres (1,900 hectares). Unfortunately the lake is dry, often with a little water. However, when it has waters, the lake gets at some parts up to 2 meters deep and many migratory birds arrive. You will see reeds, amphibians and reptiles, but also birds of many species that find shelter there for a long time.
