A small village in southeastern Korinthia, 16 km from the city of Korinthos, surrounded by pine trees and olive plantations located at the foot of Mount Skaroumpalo at an altitude of 250 meters. In the village one can visit the folk museum housed in the Elementary School, with objects from the local’s daily life. Of interest are the Church of Evagelistria (Annunciation of the Virgin Mary) with its tall bell tower and the church of Agios Demetrios at the top of the mountain, overlooking the Akrocorinthos and the Saronic Gulf. Within walking distance you will find the ruins of the church Anastasis tou Christou (Resurrection of Christ), built atop the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, as shown by the laurels that grow in the area - a holy symbol of the god. At the Monastery of Taxiarches (Archangels), you will have the opportunity to admire the magnificent, lush nature of the region. In the local taverns, taste the famous 'giosa,' ewe or goat roasted in a wood-fired oven that has been sealed with mud.
