The church of Agios Pavlos in Asfendi is an early Christian basilica, one of the most important monuments of the area. It dates back to the 5th- 6th century and was discovered in 1935 by Italian archaeologists. Around the basilica some architectural members can be seen scattered.

It is a magnificent church, in the middle of the city of Kos. Its colors are soft and the special steps decorate the churchyard.
The church of Agios Ioannis Prodromos is located in the city of Kos, inside the Cemetery. It dates back to the 5th- 6th century and is of great historic value, being one of the few early Christian baptisteries saved until today. The church once had the form of a basilica, but no such element can be distinguished today.
Agia Paraskevi is located inside Antimacheia castle. It is a picturesque little church, dating back to the 18th century. There are three churches in the castle and this is the only well-preserved.
The old church of Ipapanti, built of stone in the 14th century, is located in Palio Pyli, close to the walls of the Byzantine fortress. In the church are preserved magnificent frescoes, as well as a wooden temple. According to archaeologists, there was another temple at this point, probably dedicated to the goddess Demeter.
Agios Ioannis Monastery is located near Kefalos. The most characteristic elements are the old plane tree stretching over the monastery and the steeple.
Christos Church is built on the peak of mount Dikaios. You will reach it through a beautiful route, about a half hour from the village of Zia. This little temple was probably constructed in the 13th-14th century, while it is speculated that a monastery was also operating there. The view from this point is magnificent.
