Operating since 1983 in a traditional building on Mandilara Street, the Folklore and Historical Museum of Larisa shows the cultural history of the town and province through 20000 exhibits. The visitor can see objects from the fields of agriculture and husbandry – the main activities of the people living in this area – as well as from the everyday life of the people dating back to the 19th and early 20th century. These objects are a precious heritage that has been preserved in order for the younger generations to remember their past.
At the same time there is a group of Educative Programs operating in the museum.
