Whoever you ask in the island will surely indicate this beach for swimming. A path (20 minutes or so) from Messaria will lead you to the last beach in the northwestern part of the island. Clear, turquoise waters, golden sand, in a quiet environment.

One of the most famous beaches in the eastern part of the island, with dunes of pale sand embracing the sea. Trees will offer you shade in this beautiful beach. From here starts the path to the beach Fikio (15 minutes or so).
The beach Tsigouri is the most visited and not unjustly since it is positioned very close to Hora, at the first bay south of the Bay of Mersini. There is pale golden sand, we all love, crystal, turquoise waters and abundant shade, under trees or under the umbrellas.
Southern of the beach Tsigouri lies the beach Livadi which is a good choice when Meltemi winds are blowing in the Aegean. A blond sand strand separating the crystal waters and the trees. On the left side of the bay stands a pigeon house with its traditional architecture. At Livadi you will find accommodation and restaurants.
A long sandy beach that is recommended for families, since the shallow waters make it very friendly for children. On days with north wind is ideal for playing with the waves. Mersin Beach, also known as Piso Ammos (back sand) is the closest beach to the port. Sand, trees and shops with refreshments and food. Because of the sheltered bay a lot of boats come here, while the visitors choose it for their last dive before leaving from the island.
In the last southeastern Gulf of Schinoussa there are two small quiet beaches with pebbles, sand and clean waters. In the first one you will not find shade at the beach but at Lioliou there are big trees and shops to buy the necessary.
