Hora-top Vargies-Gerolimnionas
A path that starts from Hora and heads north, crossing the top Vargies which is the highest point of the island with great view of the surrounding islands and ends at Gerolimnionas beach, which is famous for its brilliant water. (3.5 km)
Hora-Messaria-Kampos-Psili Ammos
At Hora starts a path that reaches the village of Messaria. You continue by heading south again, passing through the area of Campos, where you will see most of the crops of the island. The path ends at Psili Ammo with its towering sand dunes. What's better than to finish a hiking trip with swimming in turquoise waters? (2.7 km)
Psili Amos (Fine Sand)
One of the most famous beaches in the eastern part of the island, with dunes of pale sand embracing the sea. Trees will offer you shade in this beautiful beach. From here starts the path to the beach Fikio (15 minutes or so).
Livadi (Prairie)
Southern of the beach Tsigouri lies the beach Livadi which is a good choice when Meltemi winds are blowing in the Aegean. A blond sand strand separating the crystal waters and the trees. On the left side of the bay stands a pigeon house with its traditional architecture. At Livadi you will find accommodation and restaurants.
Gerolimnionas
Whoever you ask in the island will surely indicate this beach for swimming. A path (20 minutes or so) from Messaria will lead you to the last beach in the northwestern part of the island. Clear, turquoise waters, golden sand, in a quiet environment.
Schinoussa settlements
Three small settlements adorn the island, Hora or Schinoussa, the capital of the island built inland to protect the inhabitants from raids, Mesaria in the north and the settlement Mersini, the sheltered harbor.
