Access

By Ferry: Skiathos is linked by ferry with Volos, Agios Konstantinos, Thessaloniki, Glossa Skopelos, Skopelos, Alonissos, Syros, Thira (Santorini), Paros, Heraklion (Crete), Tinos and Naxos. It is also linked with high-speed boats with Ag. Konstantinos, Volos, Thessaloniki, Alonissos, Skopelos and Glossa Skopelos, Trikeri island and Trikeri of Pelion. There are also smaller boats from Skiathos to Alonissos and Skopelos. The frequency of service varies depending on the season.
 
By Air: The island has an airport that receives flights from Athens, and a large number of charter flights from Europe.

Local transportation

Traveling around the island of Skiathos can be done either by your own vehicle or by local buses on a regular service and taxis. Many beaches are also accessible by small boats.
