Access

By boat: The port of Skyros, Linaria, is connected to the port of Kimi in Evia with daily routes that takes about one hour and forty minutes.
You can reach the port of Kimi in Evia by bus or you can drive with your own car. From Athens buses depart from the station to the street Liosion 260.
During the summer months Skyros is also connected with the port of Skopelos and Alonissos and from there you can easily visit Skiathos and the mainland of Magnesia.

By plane: Skyros has an airport on the north side and is connected with flights to Athens (40΄) and Thessaloniki (30΄).

Domestic transportation

Marinas: If you are visiting Skyros by your own boat, you can anchor at the port Linaria (2-5 feet deep). There you can refuel with water, fuel and anything else you need. It is advisable to avoid the A side of the bay, as there are underground pipes. Other safe places to anchor are the beach Molos and Kalamitsa.
