The museum was established in November 2000 in the basement of a renovated stone building. The exhibits of historical and ethnological interest from Livadia and the wider area are presented in thematic units covering almost every aspect of the daily life of rural people (textiles, clothing, household items and agricultural items).
A special thematic unit is dedicated to water power; the main exhibit is a reconstructed grinder, which has the ability to operate by the vertical wheel that is located in the building. Two of the museum halls are dedicated to the historians and writers from Livadia, Takis Lappas and Takis Samartzis.
Opening hours: Every day except Monday: 9:30-14.00, Saturday and Sunday: 11:00-15:00
