This monastery in the eastern side of Arakinthos, 8 kilometers away from Messolonghi, is tightly connected with the heroic but tragic Exodus as it was the meeting point of those that managed to survive. It is a female monastery, dating back to the 17^th century, in the honor of Agios Symeon built between dense vegetation that was even more a few years ago before the fire that burned the forest and threatened the monastery. Every year, on the day of the Holy Spirit but also in February, a festival in the honor of the Exodus takes place here.
