The beach may not be something special, but the road leading to it is definitely unique and special. A narrow, 5-kilometer long road starts from the port and crosses the lagοon to reach Tourlida islet, where the beach is located. To be accurate, in Tourlida you can either swim in the front part with the metal steps helping the entrance, or choose the sandy part on your left. Sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bar and restaurants accommodate the needs of the visitors that tend to be a lot during the summer. Watching the sunset from Tourlida, with the orange-red sun setting behind the fishermen’s huts, will be one the most beautiful pictures that the visit to Messolonghi has to offer.
