According to explorers of the 18^th century, the lakes of Lysimachia and Trichonida were once connected creating a huge lake near the foothills of Arakinthos. Lysimachia receives water from Trichonida and gives its own to Acheloos through the canal of Dimikos. It is 13 s. kil. large and 9 meters deep. You can only watch the lake from high above as there are no facilities around it.
