Lake Ladona is an artificial lake, which was created to supply water the homonymic hydroelectric factory. Its dam, which is 56m high and 102,5m wide, is something worth seeing. Its size is astonishing and its blue-green waters are spreading extensively between the mountains. You may see people swimming or canoeing in the lake. The only cafe, which is located on its bank, has an amazing view of the sunset. When the dam opens to supply water to the factory (when the level of the water has declined), a four-arcuated stone bridge (the Gefyri of Kyra) of the 13th century and the cottages, which were in the area during that period, emerge.
