A mountain, which is loved by many, with its highest peak of Ostrakina at approximately 1981m in altitude, where a small ski resort is located. In the mountain's shelters, you can spend the night observing the stars and, then, you can stay the night if you like. It's verdurous with fir trees, cedars and 570 plant species, either rare or not, which have a cooling effect in the summer. Two rivers originate from this mountain, Elissonas and Loussios, which then feed Alfeios River. Loussios is famous for its gorge, in which many sports activities take place, like kayak and rafting. It is also known for its hiking trails. Many hikes are organized regularly by the two alpine clubs of Tripolis that see after the protection of the mountain's environment. Winter ski is one of the many activities taking place on Mainalo, where the ski resort opens its gates when the snow conditions are optimal. Picturesque villages with cozy guest houses are located at its foothills.
