The traditional settlement of Domianoi with its stone houses and paved alleys is located at an altitude of 600 meters on the foothills of mountain Misiaka (it belongs to the mountain range of Velouchi) on the northwest of Karpenisi. It is worth visiting the monastery of Kimiseos tis Theotokou (the Assumption of Virgin Mary) where you will have the chance to see wall paintings that date back to 1787. The Virgin Mary “Domianitisa” as the locals call it, is celebrated on the 15^th of August.
