It is a single-arched bridge over the Acheloos River. One of its sides is located in Etoloakarnania while the other one connects it with Evrytania. Right next to the bridge you will see the largest spring of Acheloos also known as Mardacha. Unfortunately, the bridge is currently under the waters of the lake of Kremasta. It was replaced by a modern bridge that was built in 1970 by Aristarchos Ikonomou, for which he was awarded with three international awards.
