A river that springs from the Karditsa prefecture, forming the Lake Plastiras that supplies with water the Thessaly plain, travels through Evrytania up to the artificial lake of Kremasta instead of uniting with the Acheloos river as it used to do before. Its length is about 78 km and it passes through the green landscapes of Evrytania, which is the most beautiful part of its course. In this section there's the well-known stone bridge Viniani bridging its banks from where starts also rafting of difficulty 2.
