Asfendiou is a very small but popular traditional village located on the hills of Dikaio, in the middle of a lush landscape. Many other villages are located really close to Asfendiou, like Zia, with tradition in folk art, Lagoudi, Zipari and Agios Dimitrios, with the homonymous monastery. In the area you will see many small churches and early Christian basilicas, thus feasts are organized frequently in the area. In Zipari are celebrated the Christ's Transfiguration on the 6th of August, Agios Dimitrios on the 26th of October, St George in the Small Forest of Mavrokambies and at St. John the Theologian on the 8th of May in Lagoudi.
