The archeological site of Ancient Agora is located on the east side of Kos town, next to the port. Its construction dates back to the 4th century B.C. You can see a large part of the wall that in the middle of the space. Ancient temples, directed towards the port, as well as buildings possibly relevant to the operation of the port were located outside the wall. The building of the agora, with a width of 80 m. and a length of 300 m, was the financial and commercial center of the city, located right next to the port. A large part of the archaeological findings are kept in the Archaeological Museum of Kos.
