Caza Romana is a roman mansion of the 3rd century A.D., built on the foundations of a Hellenistic house. It was discovered in 1933 by the archaeologist Laurenzi. It was that year, when the great earthquake gave cause for the Italian occupiers to start archaeological excavations. The mansion is typical of the luxurious Roman Kos. It is of Pompeian style and has 36 rooms and 3 interior patios, two of which are surrounded by two-floor arcades with columns. The most impressive part of the museum is the great mosaics that decorate the floor of the house depicting the wildlife, including a panther devouring a deer, as well as the seabed.
