You will find the Monastery of Timios Stavros heading towards the villages Koumaradaioi and Pyrgos, some kilometers after getting out of the central road. The first building was constructed in the beginning of the 17th century, according to an inscription on a cross that was placed in the foundations of the temple. During the German occupation the eastern half and the entire south wing were burned and in their position was created an orchard with fruit trees. The monastery celebrates on the 14^th of September. A piece of Holy Wood is also kept in the monastery, which is brought into pilgrimage during the Easter, on Shrove Wednesday.
