The museum is located in the city of Samos (Vathi) and is housed in two buildings; an old and a new one. The old building is the “Paschaleio Archaiofylakeio”, built in 1912. The new building hosts in the Sculpture Gallery architectural parts of Iraion. The most impressive of all findings is hosted in the last hall; Kouros of Samos is three times bigger than a person’s normal size. It is one of the five or six kouros, which used to adorn the Holy Street (“Iera Odos”). Works of ceramics and miniature art are exhibited in the Paschaleio Archaiofylakeio.
