In Samos, like in any other island, there is a large amount of utilitarian objects, buildings and costumes testifying the long history and rich tradition of the place. In the Folklore Museum of Karlovasi the visitor can admire the loom, the wovens, the “sofra” (low round table), the vessels for kneading, farm tools and porcelain objects of great value, carved mirrors, sofas, impressive clothing and traditional Samian costumes.
